StashTracker 2.5: Yarn Lines, Apple Watch Redesign, and More

Version 2.5 brings one of the most requested features yet: organize your stash by yarn line, group every colourway together, and track your craft time across every device. Here's what's new.

Yarn Lines and Colourways

Group every colourway of the same yarn under a single yarn line. A new "By yarn line" inventory view shows them together with a colour swatch for each shade, and your existing stash was grouped automatically wherever matches were clear.

  • "Duplicate as colourway" from a swipe or long-press adds a sibling colour in one tap, copying everything but the colour.
  • Adding a yarn that matches one you already own offers to file it as a new colourway automatically.
  • Merge two yarn lines into one, or delete a whole yarn line and its colourways when you're done with it.
  • Link a pattern to a whole yarn line before you've settled on a colour. Pick the colourway when you start the project and your reservations follow.

Yarn Weights

Added Fingering and Aran weights. Alt-name search means typing "sock", "chunky", "aran", or "4-ply" surfaces matching items, and weight pickers now show common alternative names.

Apple Watch

The Watch app has a fresh three-page design:

  • An at-a-glance view of your active session
  • Your in-progress patterns
  • A stitch and row counter

All kept in sync with the iOS app.

Personalization

  • Live Activity time tracking on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. (Premium)
  • Alternate app icons: choose the yarn ball, a black cat, an orange cat, or boba. (Premium)

Polish

  • Refined spacing, clearer hierarchy, and more consistent cards and icons across screens.
  • A friendlier first-time welcome flow with clearer prompts.

2.5 is rolling out in the first week of June. As always, thanks for the kind messages, feedback, and feature requests, this update has a lot of them baked in.
